FAB Discovery 1 (Find, Achieve, Believe)

Students will arrive at a pre-set location away from our centre here they will meet our team of instructors. They will need to navigate their way to The Rockblok centre via woods, paths and fields where they will be tasked to construct a shelter to protect them from the elements.

With the feeling of hunger setting in students will need to generate both warmth and heat for cooking. With fuel already collected and fire steel in hand they now face the challenge of creating a sustainable heat source, the reward? Hot food, warmth and achievement.

The aim will be for students to follow a trail of discovery via a storyline plot throughout their journey. Further to this they will be tasked to record their individual progress throughout the session within their own discovery log.

To sum up and close the session students will be offered exit routes along with advice on where they can continue to be involved, learn more and carry on developing skills learned.
